Aweber down - Check Your Opt-in Forms!
Aweber is having some intermittent problem today. It has been coming up and down a few times. When I go to Aweber main page, I also got a page-not-found error.
A quick check on all my lead capture page (ie. opt-in forms) shows that all my opt-in box are missing (those using Java)! Some other marketers reported speaking with Aweber customer service and confirm that there were some issues on their end. This problem seems to be happening since 15 Jan 2009.
This is what you need to do now.
1. Check all your lead capture page (ie. name squeeze page).
2. If your opt-in box is missing, add in a line somewhere to ask your visitors to try later. Or alternative you can use another autoresponder services from the trusted likes of GetResponse and WebProsperity Contact.
I will be keeping track of this. *sigh*
Just my luck that this happen when I wanted to send out a broadcast emails to my members …
To Your Success,
Keith Choy

I monitor Aweber’s uptime availability (using SiteUptime), and so I get email alerts when their website goes down. The bad part about Aweber downtime is that it kills all tracking links, and you get subscribers emailing you “The link doesn’t work.” Uggh.
Now that I’m aware of when Aweber’s down, I can tell my subscribers that the problem is temporary and to try again later. Still, it’s really annoying when they go down. Been with them for 3 years now - and this year they’ve had the most downtime I’ve ever seen. Not sure what’s going on, but it’s pretty annoying.
Aweber is down right now - as I’m typing this comment.
