Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock - Ending

Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock (Ending 1)
I am a big fan of the Spider-Man series since when I was a kid.

Hence, I was really thrilled when I saw this short funny video on Spider Man.  I immediately contacted the producer (Tony Miles) and he gave me permission to post it up.  Great guy!

This popular video was produced in 2004 for joint clients SONY, Marvel and LEGO as part of the media onslaught surrounding the release of Spider-Man 2, and comes with two alternate endings.

I posted 1st ending here.  Look out for the 2nd ending in my next “TheEdge” eZine.

Enjoy this short 3.49 minutes clip.

GoDaddy and NameCheap Coupon Codes before Price Increase

NameCheap and GoDaddy are two of the providers that I used to register all my website domains.   Personally, I prefer NameCheap.

If you are planning to register your website domain, you can use the following coupon codes.  Do note the validity dates:

  • NameCheap - $7.99 .com domains:
    Code: ROCKTOBER
    (valid until 14 Oct 2007)
    .
  • GoDaddy - $7.99 .com domains:
    Code: gdm1016n
    (valid until 2 Nov 2007)
    .
  • GoDaddy - $6.95 .com domains
    Code: cjcdeal102
    (valid until 31 Oct 2007)

Latest Updates on Price Hike:

This has been updated in a few forums.  By 15 Oct 2007, prices for the generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) like .com, .net, .org, .info and .biz domain names will finally increase.

This is in line with the decisions by the Registries of each extension above to increase their prices. You can read each one via the links below if you’re up to it:

Below is an email from NameCheap on the increase as well:

Dear NameCheap.com client,

In April 2007, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) approved certain domain registries to increase their prices. Domain registries are the private companies which manage the registration, technical operations, and control the allocation policies of the TLD’s for which they are responsible.

Domain registries VeriSign(.com, .net tld’s), Afilias(.info tld), Neulevel(.biz tld) and Public Interest Registry(.org tld) applied for and received price increases and have announced they will be raising their wholesale prices to all registrars including us.

In light of that decision, NameCheap.com will be adjusting its pricing on Sunday, October 14, 2007 as follows:

.com domain renewals, transfers & new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

.net domain renewals, transfers & new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

.org domain renewals, transfers & new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

.info domain renewals, transfers & new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

.biz domain renewals, transfers & new registrations: Old pricing $8.88, new pricing $9.29 per year

Historically, NameCheap.com has always been averse to adjusting its prices. As these cost increases are being dictated and charged to us by the registries, we are obligated to comply.

Please rest assured that NameCheap.com will continue to strive to offer the most responsive level of customer service 24×7, and maintain the high level of services which has earned us your business.

On behalf of everyone at NameCheap.com , please accept our sincere thanks and appreciation for the opportunity to continue to serve you as a valued NameCheap.com client.

So if you are thinking of registering a domain, do it now!

To Your Success,
Keith Choy
