Welcome to WealthMountains Tips for Extraordinary Wealth! Table of Contents: How ClickBank And Amazon Changes Benefit You
1. The One-Minute Thought
At least I now know I am the only one having problem getting meaningful support from their GoDaddy Helpdesk. In any case, I have advised my friend to consider shifting away from GoDaddy Hosting already. Thanks to all who reply. In the past 1 month, we have seen quite a few products launches (eg from Ewen, Cody, Jon, Joseph, Anik etc). I was also given opportunities to preview 3 of them prior to pre-launch and I must say the packages are getting bigger (but not necessary better in some cases). Before you buy into any of this launch, do check if they are suitable for your own business strategy. Will those tools help you achieve your goals or will those tools distract you further? Make the decision before you find your cupboard packed full of stuff that you never use. Beside the above product lauches, there were also changes to 2 major powerhouse on the Internet Marketing scene, namely ClickBank and Amazon. I am an affiliate for both programme (I'm sure most of you are too) and I know these changes will definitely help you. It has helped in my Clickbank sales conversion. Read further below to find out how the changes benefit your sales.
2. Seminar: Dan Kennedy Recorded Live Speaking On How To Inexpensively Attract A Flood Of New Customers To Your Business Or Service
Dan Kennedy speaks to over 200,000 people a year and is one of the most in-demand direct marketing consultants in America today. He appears with marketing greats and celebrities like Zig Zigler, Tom Hopkins, Bill Cosby, and General Norman Schwarzkoff to name just a few; he has written 6 books including the bestseller, 'The Ultimate Marketing Plan.'
Dan is one of the marketing gurus that I spent a lot of time studying after. I have a lot of his tapes, home study course and books. His practical advices have helped in my marketing effort many times over when I first started off (in non-internet niches).
Hence, I was happy to find that Michael Senoff has posted up the seminar presentation by Dan on his HardToFindSeminars.com site. Listen to the marketing wizard himself as he markets his own product (Magnetic Marketing System) ; an indelible treat that alone is worth a fortune.

3. Internet: Don't Use "Web Law Generator" Or You Will Be Sued!
The most talk-about news in the Internet Marketing space in Aug 06 must be on the product "Web Law Generator" that had violated the copyright of Bob Silber. Bob is now out to protect his rights by threatening to sue those who continues to use the templates generated from this tool. For those unfamiliar, "Web Law Generator" is a $47 software tool that was sold on the Internet with Master Resell Rights. It was meant to help create Legal templates that you can place on your website (for your TOS or disclaimer etc) Bob Silber (owner of the Legal templates) claims that he had not given out his rights for those Legal templates to be sold. Hence, he is seriously looking into this. He contacted and threatened to sue some of the big marketers such as Mike Filsaime. To be fair to those marketers, they were not aware of this infringement in the first place when they use the tool. In the end, this was settled by paying $3,000 to buy over the rights for those templates by each marketers who wants to continue to use the templates. Hence, if you are using "Web Law Generator" to generate any templates for your site, take my advice and take them down immediately! If you are looking for alternatives, try the following: Option 1: Get Your Lawyers To Help You Craft The TOS, disclaimers etc This is an expensive option but you should consider this if you are running a serious and big business. This should be part of your business expenses. Don't save on pennies and paid pounds in the end. Option 2: Check Out the Legal Resources Sites I got the following tips from Charles Smith of WebProfitSchool. You can find useful forms in these two free legal resource sites: So start protecting yourself now! About the Author: 4. Internet: Two Latest Changes In ClickBank
Since the start of Aug 2006 to early Sep 06, ClickBank has made 2 changes to its system. First Change: Order Form In early Aug 06, ClickBank replaces their previous 2-step order form with a 1-step order form. Previously, a buyer of your ClickBank product needs to enter their country and postal code on 1st page before being shown an order form on second page. I believe this allows ClickBank to determine the amount of country-related tax that it needs to include into the final sales computation. With this new 1-step order form, this is now simplified for the buyer. Not only does the new order form looks more professional and updated, the related-tax amount is also automatically computed. The buyer does not need to go through 2-steps. It has been known that the Order Form is one of the critical point in which the buyer may drop the idea of purchase. Hence, having this latest change does help in sales conversion. On one forum, there were a few marketers who reported that their sales conversion has increased after this change by ClickBank (they have not made any other changes). Personally, I have also seen some increase in my own sales. Second Change: ClickBank Home Page and MarketPlace This second change occurred in early Sep 06. If you go to ClickBank now, you will notice that ClickBank has updated its website design. It looks new and professional compared to its previous dated design. Even the Marketplace has been upgraded to include a search function. You can also create your own affiliate link directly by clicking on the "create link" for each product in the MarketPlace. The Bad part I noticed that my feeds update from ClickBank was affected after this series of changes. In particular, my ClickBank Buddy setup was not able to connect to the ClickBank database to download the product information anymore. I am still checking back with the creator to see if there is a workaround for this. Other changes to come? In my testing, I noticed that ClickBank may be including in an option for recurrent charging. This option is not active yet. This option was also observed by Sam Stephens of DLGuard. This is indeed a great news for those who are running membership sites that needs to charge their customer on a regular basis. I guess ClickBank is now working on the final details such as how to handle refunds, how to notify the seller and its affiliates of each sales etc. Do stay tuned for any update in this area from ClickBank. Honestly, I am happy to see that ClickBank is finally changing and upgrading itself to keep up with times. This was the first payment processor that I have used and I am still using them now. This is so as I like some of their features like build-in affiliate program and automatic payment handling to affiliates. I have also used other payment processor such as PayDotCom but each providers comes their own strong and weak points. With the appearance of other competitors such as PayDotCom, I am sure we will see more changes coming up in ClickBank soon. By the way, do expect to see some major changes in PayDotCom soon. Mike Filsame has announced that he will be shifting 80% of his programmers to working on the upgrade to this site soon. That's good news for us too. To learn more details on ClickBank, click here. About the Author: 5. Infopreneur: Two Latest Addition To Amazon
Recently I noticed that Amazon has added 2 free tools to their associate central member area. They are namely the Omakase Links (beta) and aStore (Beta). I have done some testings with these 2 tools and below are my observations. First Addition: Omakase Links (beta) This is a javascript which automatically feature products that visitors to the page are most likely to buy. With Omakase Links, you do not need to chose which product, product line or even keyword that best fits a page. The algorithms will optimize product offerings based on what you has been successful with in the past; what that user has been interested in; as well as what the site is about. You can choose the available options and the format of the ads to be shown on your site. Treat this like an Adsense ads and blend it into your site (eg. match it to the colour scheme of your webpage for higher click-through). In my testing, I found that the webpage must be viewed a few times (in one niche, it took around 4 times) before Omakase Links will optimize the ads for that page. For example, on 1 of my site focusing on Adsense articles, it was able to show recomendation for Adsense books correctly. However, on another niche site, irrelevant ads still shows up no matter how many times I viewed the page. This affected my click-through-rate on those webpage. Imagine seeing an Amazon ad on "Teleseminar Marketing" on my Bakery site and you understand why this is not helping in my sales. On another note, as this tool uses its algorithm to detect what the site is about, I have a gut feel that you would not be able to place an Adsense ads and a Omakase ads on the same webpage. This could be a violation of Google Adsense TOS if you do so. Google does not allow a similar contextual-text ads to be on the same webpage that its Adsense ads are on. So for the moment, avoid placing Amazon Omakase and Google Adsense ads on the same webpage.
This new aStore can be embedded on your site so when visitors order they never leave your site and it appears as though the shopping cart is right on your domain. One of the ways Amazon suggests doing this is with an iframe. Below are my observations of this new tool:
These two additions by Amazon is definitely a good step towards helping its affiliate in promoting its products. You no longer need to play around with datafeeds handling if this meets your requirement. Do test around this tool. Learn more about these new Amazom tools by becoming their associate.
